The Reference 7 is Audio Research's more attainable entry into the Reference 20 platform, built to bring the Reference 20's design advances to a wider audience.

It shares the Reference 20's layered, multi-metal chassis and mass-loaded circuit boards, with a solid-state regulated power supply and reference-grade output coupling capacitors, built around four 6H30P dual-triode tubes.
