The SC-001 cleans a record using vibration rather than static bristles alone: its bristles vibrate 11,000 times per minute to physically loosen and lift fine dust lodged in the groove.

DS Audio selected its bristle material through testing with high-sensitivity cameras measuring dust removal, and the brush combines a low-charging bristle material with conductive fibers at the rear of the vibration drive to avoid generating new static while discharging what's already on the record.
