Lyra Atlas Lambda Phono Cartridge
Lyra's flagship, built around an asymmetric internal structure, with the left and right channel structures shaped differently to suppress standing waves and resonance coloration, and an offset magnet carrier that gives vibration a direct, solid drain path from the cantilever assembly to the tonearm headshell.
It uses Lyra's New Angle technology, which mechanically pre-biases the signal coils so they stay correctly aligned to the front and rear magnets during actual playback, in a titanium body shaped with both contact and non-contact machining into a phase-interference resonance-controlling structure. Its diamond-coated solid boron cantilever mounts directly into the body on a short one-point wire suspension, the same direct-mount principle used in the Etna Lambda.
The 2023 Lambda refresh carries over the same split damper design as Etna Lambda: a flat elastomer disc for damping and a separate pillow for pre-load support.
No field-replaceable stylus; a worn cartridge is returned to the Lyra factory in Japan for a full internal rebuild, or traded in under Lyra's exchange/upgrade program, rather than fitted with a swappable stylus.
