McIntosh

The blue meters. The glass faceplate. The sound that started it all.

McIntosh has been building audio equipment in Binghamton, New York since 1949 — making them one of the oldest and most iconic names in American hi-fi. Their signature blue watt meters, illuminated glass faceplates, and bulletproof reliability have earned a devoted following that spans generations.

But it's not just about the look. McIntosh's patented Autoformer technology delivers full power across all speaker impedances, their Power Guard circuitry prevents clipping without limiting dynamics, and their build quality is legendary — many McIntosh components from the 1960s are still in daily use today.

From vacuum tube amplifiers to solid-state powerhouses, from turntables to home theater processors, McIntosh builds the complete system — and every piece carries that unmistakable combination of warmth, authority, and American craftsmanship.
